A woman was taken to the hospital after a three-car wreck Monday evening. Aleyda Villarreal was in a navy blue Daewoo Nubira on Mockingbird Lane waiting to turn into the Victoria East High School parking lot. A blue and white Ford 350 pickup, driven by Peter Bartlett, had stopped behind Villarreal when a tan Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Calloway Vance, struck the pickup, causing it to hit the back of the Daewoo. Villarreal was taken by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center because of back pain, Victoria police officer Phillip Barron said. No other injuries were reported. No citations were issued at the scene, Barron said.
