City of Victoria officials are kicking up their heels at the growth of the second annual Bootfest.

LaRue Roth, director of the Victoria Convention and Visitors Bureau, presented preliminary festival stats Tuesday at the Victoria Economic Development Corp.'s Victoria Partnership meeting.

She said 2012 brought more volunteers, bigger crowds and added beer sales, but noted crowd numbers are estimates because the event was not gated.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at Bootfest 2012:

29,000-32,000: Total crowd estimate (2011 attracted 20,000-23,000)

11,000-12,000: Friday night crowd estimate

18,000-20,000: Saturday night crowd estimate

37,700: Units of beer sold (twice 2011's numbers)

13,000: Bottles of water given away

1,766: Bags of ice used

410: Volunteers working the event (2011 brought 180)

76: Merchandise vendors

20: Food vendors

3: Boot makers present
