  • This is pretty much the governing sentiment for all decisions made in Victoria lately.
    "Mayor Will Armstrong said he was concerned about the message the split vote sent to prospective businesses. He said VEDC critism comes from a small group."
    I believe the mayor is looking for the old saying, 'Children should be seen and not heard when company is present."
    All of you taxpaying, children, just keep quiet and let the grown-ups decide what is best for you!

    (The Victoria Advocate has certainly bought-in to this 'keep it quiet' philosophy with their Facebook commenting. Discussion of government decisions has gone to zero with this new policy. But, maybe that was their goal.)

    I have no reason to believe there are irregularities at VEDC, but when 4 council people vote to not, fully disclose where taxpayer money is going, it makes me want to look a little deeper. Well done Mr. Zuck.
