The Center for Texas History of the Goliad County Library is sponsoring a talk on the contributions of Tejanos in Texas and the successful effort to place a monument on the Texas Capitol Grounds that honors the contributions of Hispanics to Texas history and culture.

Renato Ramirez, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of IBC-Zapatathe, is the guest speaker. He was also on the board of directors of Tejano Monument, Inc. which undertook the 12-year effort to raise the money and get approval to place the monument in Austin.
