Lavaca County Republican Women meet

U.S. Congressman Blake Farenthold met recently with the Republican Women of Yoakum recently. Attending the event, seated, from left, are J.K. U.S. Congressman Blake Farenthold met with Shiner and Lavaca County citizens at Republican Women Headquarters in Shiner on Tuesday Oct. 9. Many people came to meet Farenthold and ask questions on their issues of concern facing our country. Farenthold sits on the House Oversight Committee, the Department of Home Land Security and the Transportation Committee. He gave an overview of the investigation surrounding the Fast and Furious investigation.

After the meet-and-greet at the headquarters, Congressman Farenthold met with local bankers J.K Kalich, president, and Cindy Hundl, senior vice president of First National Bank, on the issue facing community banks and the Dodd-Frank regulation bill.
