A car became airborne because of a crash Tuesday night before coming to rest in the middle of the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Airline Road.
"I looked up and I saw this car flying through the air," Victoria Police Officer Jason Sager said about the 7 p.m. wreck.
The car, a silver Mitsubishi Montero and a silver Chevrolet Lumina collided and the Montero became airborne and rolled before coming to rest in the middle of the intersection, Sager said.
The Lumina, driven by Bobby Green, 46, of Victoria, was southbound in the inside lane on Sam Houston Drive when the Montero turned left from Airline Road onto Sam Houston.
The driver of the Montero, Javier Valdez, 61, of Victoria, was turning on an unprotected green light, Sager said.
Green was taken to Citizens Medical Center with possible head injuries, Sager said. He was admitted for observation, a hospital spokeswoman said.
No citations were issued, Sager said.
