Parade for Vietnam veterans was worth the wait

Editor, the Advocate:

I would like to thank Mr. Kocian and Mr. Rivera and the City of Victoria for putting on a truly remarkable veteran parade. The turnout was awesome. The people lining the streets were truly grateful; thanks. It was an honor meeting so many fellow vets.

I would also like to thank my son's boss, Mike Barnett, and all the others who gave us old men a ride with their trucks and trailers. We pray for no more wars, but the price of freedom is not free. Thanks again.

It was worth the wait.
