Patricia Nagle has joined American Bank's Victoria office as a senior lending officer.

She has more than 17 years of business banking experience in the Victoria market. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Nelda Chambers with Cornerstone Properties recently attended the 2012 Texas Realtors Conference. She serves on the nominating committee that selects the state officers for the Texas Association of Realtor.

Mark Ward Sr., an assistant professor of communication at the University of Houston-Victoria, presented a research paper titled "The Material Pulpit: Effects of Clergy Rhetorical Practices in Constituting the Social Worlds of Congregations" at the Texas Speech Communication Association annual convention Oct. 13 in San Antonio.

Brandy Eschenburg, a registered nurse, was voted employee of the quarter at Kindred Hospital. She has worked there for for four years.

Michele Rohde of the financial services firm Edward Jones recently won the firm's exclusive Century Award for outstanding performance during 2011.

Diane Tippit was recently hired as the administrative secretary for the University of Houston-Victoria Athletic Department. She graduated from UHV in 2007 with a communications degree. Before working at UHV, Tippit was the senior assistant to the vice president of business development at Formosa Plastics Corporation-Texas.

Jana DeBow recently joined the University of Houston-Victoria as a recruitment coordinator for the School of Nursing. Before joining UHV, DeBow was the assistant director for student recruitment and enrollment services at the West Palm Beach Student Educational Center of Nova Southeastern University.
