The University of Houston-Victoria women's soccer team couldn't hang with the Coopers.

Carissa Cooper and her twin, Camille, from Westminster University were too much for the Jaguars (6-10) to handle Saturday afternoon, as they combined for five goals and an assist in the Griffins' 7-1 win. The loss snapped a two-match winning streak for UHV.

The Jaguars trailed 4-0 after less than a half hour of play. Freshman winger Iris Mares scored her first goal of the season off a Lauren Maresh assist to cut the deficit to 4-1. However, the visitors added three second half goals to pull away.

The Jaguars will close the regular season against Texas A&M-International Monday afternoon in Laredo. UHV lost to the Dustdevils 2-1 in overtime on October. 8.

Westminster (12-4-1) will host Texas-Brownsville Sunday at 11 a.m. That match will be at The Cage, on 3007 N. Ben Wilson.
