TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Cody Wallace didn't have to wait long to find a spot on an NFL roster.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed the center from Cuero off of waivers Saturday from the Texans, who cut him from their roster at the end of the preseason.
The move was announced Saturday, when the Bucs also claimed running back D.J. Ware from the New York Giants defensive tackle Corvey Irvin and guard Julian Vandervelde. To make room on the roster, which had been at 52 players, defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry and guard Bradley Sowell were waived.
Ware spent the past five seasons with the Giants, rushing for 324 yards and one touchdown.
