Refugio 62, Ingelside 27
INGELSIDE - Refugio had no trouble continuing their dominance from a year ago in a 35-point victory over Ingelside Friday night.
The Bobcats' Travis Quintanilla threw for over 500 passing yards on 26 completions, five touchdowns and two interceptions.
However, it was Ingelside that struck first in the opening quarter. Refugio wouldn't be quiet for long as Malcolm Franklin found the end zone on a two-yard run. Alex Coronado opened the flood gates for Refugio on a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Quintanilla's touchdown feast began in the second quarter with an 80-yard pass to Marcus Thompson and wouldn't stop until the early part of the fourth quarter.
Thompson caught three of Quintanilla's touchdown passes, while Franklin and Chase Whetsel each caught one.
Draigon Silvas provided the rushing attack for Refugion with 46 yards and one score, a seven-yard run to cap off the Bobcats' scoring.
