Drivers need to stop for school buses

Yes, it is that time of year again. School has started and, as a mother of children who ride a bus, I am concerned. Look, people, if you see an oversized bus with flashing lights and a STOP sign, why in the world can't you stop? Children are loading and unloading. If you can't wait the five minutes for the bus, then why not get up 20 minutes earlier so you can avoid the buses all together? It is really irresponsible of you to go around a parked bus or try to pass on the shoulder. You do realize the bus is yellow for a reason. So in closing, have some respect for the little people. It could be your child having to play Frogger with the irresponsible driver of a 3,500-pound lethal weapon.
