50th Anniversary Ernest and Mary

Ernest and Mary Ann Zepeda, of Victoria, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria. They received a blessing during Mass celebrted by Rev. Stan DeBoe. A reception and dinner was held following the Mass at Club Westerner in Victoria. The event was hosted by the couples children.
Mary Ann Olivarez and Ernest Zepeda were married on August 5, 1962 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria. The late Fr. Richard Toal officiated the ceremony. Mary Ann and Ernest have 4 children: Orlando (Grace) Zepeda, of Kingsville, Mark (Christine) Zepeda, of Victoria, Yolanda Zepeda (James) Palavin, of Columbus, Ohio, and Leticia "Tish" Zepeda (Shawn Bridgett), of Las Vegas, Nevada; and 5 grandchildren: Orlando "Orly" Q. Zepeda, of Kingsville, Alexis Q. Zepeda and Carina Q. Zepeda, both of Kingsville, and Sarah Zepeda and Leslie Zepeda, both of Victoria.
Ernest retired from Southern Pacific Railroad, after 37 years of service, as a clerk, and retired from Ernest and The Continentals Band, after 25 years of service.
Mary Ann, a housewife, recently retired, after almost 50 years service, as a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Catechist and Coordinator of Our Lady of Sorrows Shut-In Ministry, for 25 years.
