The Victoria Symphony League will host its fifth annual fall luncheon and fashion show Wednesday at the Spring Creek Place Event Center.
Organizers said this year's James Bond theme will be a blast. Entertainer Chase Brown will transform from his Elvis persona to the infamous 007.
"I can hardly wait to see what Chase comes up with," said Cora Jo Hummel, the event chair.
Models will showcase fashion from The Bridal Rail, Days Gone By, Foster Creek Station, Jade & Madalynn, Melvins Menswear, The Palm Tree and Rendezvous.
Members will also have a silent auction to raise money for the Victoria Symphony Orchestra.
The lunch will be prepared by league members. Victoria school district culinary students also will help with preparations.
Hummel credited Cheryl Guthrie and the steering committee for coming up with different and creative ideas each year. But some aspects stay consistent, including the perfect soundtrack.
"We need to keep it lively, we need to have good music," said Hummel.
In keeping with the James Bond theme, Barbara Smith was inspired to create a necklace similar to the one worn in the James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace." It will be auctioned.
The character Agent Strawberry Fields wore a similar necklace in a party scene with Bond.
Smith located green, quartz nuggets and semi-precious stones to replicate the stunning necklace.
"It is my hope that this sparkling and uniquely-themed jewelry will generate a tidy amount for the League," Smith said in a statement.
Hummel said she doesn't wear a lot of jewelry but could see herself wearing the necklace.
The event is "just a fun way to listen to music, see fashion, and relax," said Hummel. "You can't beat that kind of combination."
