West's Mickey finishes seventh at UTSA meet

SAN ANTONIO - Victoria West's Todd Mickey finished seventh in the Classs 4A varsity boys division Saturday at the UTSA Ricardo Romo Cross Country Classic.

Mickey had a time of 16 minutes 30 seconds over the the five-kilometer course. The Class 4A field included 247 runners.

West's Blake Westbrook finished 82nd in a time of 18:20 and Lupe Vega was 136th in a time of 19:18.

Meagan Hill paced the West girls by finishing 84th in a field of 213 in a time of 23:11. West's Mallory Draper was 129th with a time of 24:29.

Kristin Sontheimer placed 25th to lead the St. Joseph girls, who finished ninth in the Class 2A division with 233 points. Sontheimer had a time of 14:59 on the two-mile course.

Sara Eastham (15:54) was 44th for the Lady Flyers, Abigail Kover (16:11) was 51st, Alex Marlow (16:21) was 53rd and Mary Ann Knezek (16:40) was 60th.

St. Joseph's Katherine Dent (16:46) was 62nd, Nicole Sontheimer (17:01) was 66th, Hanna Kolle (17:28) was 71st, Ally Lozano (19:18) was 83rd, and Julie Lozano (19:38) was 84th.

Jonathan Hernandez paced the Flyers by finishing 45th in a time of 19:52 on the 5-kilometer course. Randall Nelson (21:12) was 107th and Alex Ferrell (23:13) was 121st.
