Molly Sue Alexander and Wade Edington, both of Houston, were married at 2:30 p.m. on June 23, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church Memorial Park in Houston. Deacon Larry Vaclavik officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jennie and Wayne Alexander, of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Myrtle Breaux, of Fannett, Texas. The groom is the son of Beth and Ron Edington, of Ballinger, Texas.
Tara Marek Currin, of Houston, attended as matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Katy Brown, of Victoria, niece of the bride, and Katie Turner and Jenni Pheiffer, both of Houston.
Chris Portwood, of Schertz, Texas, best friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers: Amos Barton, of Kerrville, Texas, Matt Barton, of Bryan, Texas, and Zach Barton, of Oakdale, Minnesota.
Ushers were brothers of the bride, Richard Alexander and Matt Alexander, of Victoria, and friends of the groom, Joe Burch and Casey Schurwon, of Houston, Texas. Scripture readers were nieces of the bride, Brooke Alexander and Haley Alexander, of Victoria, and the groom's sister, Jenny Moore, of Temple, Texas.
Cocktails, dinner and a dance were held at The Houstonian Hotel following the ceremony.
The bride graduated from St. Joseph High School in Victoria and Texas A&M University in College Station. She is employed by St. Francis Episcopal Day School in Houston as a 5th grade social studies and English teacher.
The groom is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock with a degree in International Business. He is self-employed, Crevalle Energy, an oil and gas brokerage company.
The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and will reside in Houston.
