Colonial Dames of the 17th Century

Colonial Dames of the 17th Century John Brewer Chapter met at the home of Belva Zirjacks on Sept. 18. Bettye Pribyl gave a presentation on foot warmers, sharing a sampling of her extensive collection. The foot warmers, mostly from the 1700-1800s, included metal warmers and wooden boxes with metal trays heated with coals, and ceramic varieties, which held hot water. President Jean Shores, left, presented Bettye Pribyl with an antique cup and saucer as a thank-you gift.
