Thank you to man who paid for family's dinner
Editor, the Advocate:
Our family went out to Red Lobster in Victoria on Easter's eve. After a nice meal, my sister-in-law and I took my children to the restroom to wash their hands. I remember walking by a gentleman with a warm smile who made direct eye contact with us as we passed. As he stood by the hostess station, I recall hearing him say something to the hostess about us "looking nice." Upon returning to the table, my parents told me that the same gentleman had paid for our family's bill - all 8 of us! Apparently, he was seated across from us that evening. He came over and told my parents that he didn't have family of his own and that we seemed like a nice family. All we know from the waitress is that his name is Mark.
I am hoping that this letter of gratitude reaches Mark. His unexpected and selfless act reminded us that we are indeed so very blessed. We appreciate the thoughtful gesture we were shown and plan to pay it forward. I wish to Mark that his kindness be repaid to him tenfold and that a blessing be bestowed upon him as well. God Bless!
