Yorktown grad accepted into collegiate society

Brooke Leeann Mendez, of Yorktown, has recently been accepted as a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is a freshman at Baylor University, majoring in interior design and business. She was 2012 valedictorian of Yorktown High School.  She is the daughter of Robert and Diana Mendez and the granddaughter of Ynocencio and Carmen Garcia and Aurelia Alvarez, all of Yorktown.
