Flyers enter district tournament as fourth seed

AUSTIN - Austin Regents scored at least once in all six innings of its 10-0 victory over St. Joseph Wednesday afternoon.

The loss puts the Flyers (15-11, 5-3) as the fourth seed headed into Saturday's first round of the TAPPS 4-3A District Tournament. St. Joseph will face fifth-seed Austin St. Dominic Savio Saturday at 2 p.m. at Riverside Stadium.

In Wednesday's game, the Flyers committed seven errors, while only getting two hits. Regents, meanwhile, recorded nine hits and had just one error.

Michael Brawner (4-3) took the loss for St. Joseph, pitching three innings and allowing three runs on four hits with three walks and one strikeout. Sam Polland and Adam Konarik were the lone Flyers to record a hit.
