"God is Love."

- 1 John 4:8

Recently, we had a death in the family and after everyone had left, I got to go to the ocean where I knew I could mourn the loss of that person in my own way.

It seems I have been doing that a lot lately, and I needed to sit beside the sea and respectfully tell God, "Enough already."

In memory of my friend, I purposely got out my old Ambassadeur reel because it is the first one he had ever fished with way back long ago when my daddy loaned it to him.

It was then that I realized that memories are those things that lie around in the bottom of the tackle boxes of our minds that are valued not for their use but for their worth.

Memories are left behind after life is left behind. Memories are priceless.

Dear Lord, Thank you for letting me come to my beach to express my deepest feelings. I know the ocean is a little bit saltier because of my tears. I have learned something: "We will never laugh all of our laughter nor cry all of our tears."
