"The Culture of Competition: A Biological Perspective" will be hosted by members of Victoria College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
The science presentations, to be in Johnson Symposium Center in the Allied Health Building, are free and open to the public.
Sandy Venneman, Ph.D., professor of psychology and biology at the University of Houston-Victoria, will speak on the Pathways to Cooperation in Nature.
Brent Ortego, Ph.D., wildlife diversity biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, will be considering competition in the context of invasive species versus endangered species.
Victoria College biology students will also make short presentations.
