STJ sweeps arts in education contest

St. Joseph High School students received awards from the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Ann  No. 369 Education Contest. They are, front row, from left,  D.J. CDA Education Contest Winners

• Art: First place - Alyssa Rodriguez, second place - Hanna Adams and third place - Alexander Ferrell

• Computer Art: First place - Alexander Ferrell, second place - Olivia Creager and third place - Olivia Urbano

• Poetry: First place - Emily Omecinski, second place - Ben Adams, third place - Shaughnessy Hall and fourth place - Cameron Zafereo

• Photography: First place - Katie Timmins, second place - Kristi Hempel, third place - D.J. DeLeon and fourth place - Ethan Carrasco

St. Joseph High School students received awards from the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Ann No. 369 Education Contest.

Students who won first-place prizes included Alyssa Rodriguez for art, Alexander Ferrell for computer art, Emily Omecinski for poetry and Katie Timmins for photography.

The presentation of the awards and reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on April 1.

First-place winners will be entered in the State Education Contest.
