Private Applicator License Brush Management Event set in DeWitt County
DeWitt County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring its annual Brush Management workshop April 25 at Lindenau Rifle Club Hall.
Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. with the first speaker starting at 8 a.m.
Cost for the day is $25 and includes a lunch prepared on site.
Program includes information on Texas Parks and Wildlife hunting laws and feral hogs.
Texas Department of Public Safety will present law changes regarding transporting chemical rigs and other Agricultural Equipment on the Highway.
Texas Department of Agriculture will review the latest laws and regulations for PAL holders. DuPont representative Charles Grymes will discuss existing chemicals available and new chemicals being developed for brush and weed management.
A discussion on the identification of brush and weeds will be presented by private consultant Stan Reinke.
Roy Parker, Texas AgriLife Extension Service Entomologist, will provide insight into the control of fire ants and other forage feeding insects. Garrett Baacke will provide information on chemical additives to assist in the effectiveness of the chemical you choose to use.
CEU Certificate will be available at the end of the day.
