Editor, the Advocate:

Next month, on May 27, the Memorial Day ceremonies will be celebrated at DeLeon Plaza in Victoria at 10 a.m. The Disabled American Veterans will be hosting the Memorial Day ceremonies. The DAV is urging all veterans and their families and relatives from Victoria and the surrounding areas to come and attend this year's ceremonies.

Come and honor those brave men and women who paid the ultimate price so that you and I could be free. Also, we must never forget those veterans who were and are missing in action (MIAs), those veterans who became prisoners of war (POWs) and those who were wounded in action (WIAs). So come and attend, participate, meet and talk with the veterans who fought so that you and I could be free here in Victoria and in America.
