THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down to students cutting with plasma or acetylene without proper eye protection as seen in an April 14 picture. They need to be trained to use proper safety equipment, or they will not be able to work for any company if they do not use safe work practices.

James, Telferner

Thumbs-down to the notorious "good ol' boy corrupt justice system" of one South Texas county - Jackson. I am a 70-year-old 100 percent innocent lady victim of it at the present time. My very freedom is in extreme jeopardy because of it.

Judy, Edna
