AUSTIN (AP) - Authorities aren't saying why federal and state agencies were conducting a search of a liquor store chain's corporate headquarters in Central Texas.
The Austin American-Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/ZOGtPC ) that officers from the FBI, Internal Revenue Service and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission spent hours Tuesday at the north Austin headquarters of Twin Liquors.
TABC official Dexter Jones told the newspaper the agency was "engaged in a joint operation" but could not provide details.
Spokesmen for the FBI and IRS said they were "conducting official business."
