BRYAN - The Victoria Generals had their four-game win streak come to an end at the hands of the the Brazos Valley Bombers in a 6-2 loss Saturday night.
Generals pitcher J.P. Clifton had a rough first inning, giving up six runs on seven hits.
In Clifton's previous start against the Bombers, he gave up a season high seven runs back in July.
The offense of the Generals did struggle to hit all evening. They managed only one hit through the first three innings.
Meanwhile, Bombers pitcher Brannon Easterling dominated the Generals. Through seven innings of work, he allowed one walk and nine hits.
The top of the Generals lineup - Alvaro Rondon, J.B. Moss, and Jordan Camel - combined for two hits.
The Generals didn't help themselves as they left eight base runners stranded in the game.
It was not until the seventh inning the Generals, who have had success the past week producing runs, got on the board.
That run came off the bat of Drew Featherston, who hit an RBI double. They later scored in that inning off an error.
Bombers' pitchers Easterling and Jason Gareri had a combine nine strikeouts against the Generals, who had one hit.
The Generals fall to 27-27 on the season and 10-14 in the second half.
Both teams will play against Sunday night before the Generals have off Monday.
