13 graduate from Victoria College's EMS paramedic program

Victoria College recently graduated 13 students from its Emergency Medical Services Paramedic Program. Victoria College recently graduated 13 students from its Emergency Medical Services Paramedic Program.

Students learned how to assess the safety of an emergency scene, mitigate scene hazards and conduct a comprehensive patient assessment.

They also learned how to develop a field diagnosis, implement a treatment plan for acutely ill and injured patients of all ages and demographics and transport the patient to the appropriate health care facility.

Students are Kayla Vahalik, Marissa Snyder, Destiny Beckner, Tracy Wood, Brooke Moore, Laura Herrera, Nicole Timmons, Catherine Radziejewski, Amy Richardson, John Alvardo, Michael Wallace-Bell, Adam Beard and Steven Stolle.

Wood was class valedictorian, and Moore was elected by classmates as the "Most Respected Student."

Faculty are EMS Program Clinical Coordinator Chris Holt, EMS Program Medical Director Dr. John McNeill and EMS Program Coordinator/Instructor Carl Voskamp.
