The arrests were part of a three-car chase that began about 10:40 a.m, said Jackson County Sheriff Andy Louderback.
The first vehicle was stopped in Jackson County, and troopers were able to apprehend passengers, who were being detained at the sheriff's office.
The second vehicle was stopped by the Wharton County Sheriff's Office near Farm-to-Market Road 1160 near Louise, said Lt. Daniel Marc with the Wharton County Sheriff's Office.
Detainees were turned over to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Marc said.
The third vehicle drove through Ganado near Farm-to-Market Road 1157, and troopers were unable to apprehend five people who fled the vehicle, Louderback said.
