Victoria County goes under tornado warning Sunday night

A wall cloud formed on the south side of Victoria near  U.S. highways 59 and 77 spilt.

Radar showed that areas south and southwest of Victoria received as much as 7 inches of rain Sunday, said Forecaster Jason Runyen with the National Weather Service.

The official rain total recorded at the Victoria Regional Airport north of town, however, was 0.29 inches, Runyen said.

Victoria County was also under a tornado warning for about 15 minutes, from about 6:30 to 6:45 that night, though no tornadoes touched down, he said.
