Food, fellowship and faith can all be found at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on Wednesdays as Oasis meals and Bible studies resume Wednesday.
"Jesus often provided for the physical needs of people as He met their spiritual needs," said the Rev. John Waak, church pastor. "We offer our Oasis meals to be a safe harbor in the middle of our often hectic work weeks where anyone can enjoy a home-cooked meal, fellowship with other believers and teachings that nourish the soul."
Meals begin at 5:30 p.m. and are offered for a free will offering. Bible studies on a range of topics start at 6:30 p.m; however, for the first Oasis of the fall, the church decided to do something special.
"We have an absolutely amazing worship team that will lead us in just an uplifting hour or so of praise music," Waak said. "Everyone is welcome regardless of if they belong to the church or are Lutheran or even Christian. We want everyone to come and invite their friends, family and coworkers. You will leave uplifted."
