The Gonzales Crystal Theatre is joining forces with members of the Classic Theatre of San Antonio to bring the iconic 1946 movie, "It's a Wonderful Life," to the stage.
"We've had such a long-standing relationship with the Classic Theatre, and we're excited to have this show," said Barbara Crozier, volunteer director of the Crystal Theatre.
The award-winning players of the Classic Theatre of San Antonio will perform Joe Landrys' radio play Friday following the Winterfest Lighted Christmas Parade in Gonzales.
Visitors can watch the parade, which starts at 7 p.m. in downtown Gonzales, and walk right around the corner for a great show, Crozier said.
The special show will include a performance Thursday for students made possible by the Crystal Theatre's Young Program and by a gift from John Igo, Classic Theatre of San Antonio Tennessee Williams Circle patron.
"We wanted to bring theatre to the younger audiences," Crozier said.
Students from any school and level can take a seat in the audience for free.
Reservations for the shows are encouraged.
