Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice

THUMBS-UP

Thumbs-up to the unnamed person who found my wife's purse at the Victoria Wal-Mart and turned it in. Thank you very much. It was such a relief to know we got everything back and nothing was missing.

Noby, Raton, N.M.

Thumbs-up to our anonymous friend. My sister and I went out to eat at The Corral the evening of Dec. 2. We had a very enjoyable meal. When we got ready to leave and asked for our bill, we were told it had already been taken care of by someone who wanted to remain anonymous. Thank you to the kind and wonderful person who made our day. There are still so many great people out there. This will never be forgotten.

Barbara and Joyce, Victoria

THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down to all the Obama haters in our area. Our president is trying to hold the big insurance companies accountable for all the huge profits they have made and thus making health insurance more affordable for Texas, the number one uninsured state.
