Dec. 12, 2013 at 6:12 a.m.

Cristal Parkinson, owner of Positively Stylin Dog Grooming Salon of Victoria, holds Diamond, who she rescued in August and is estimated to be between 9 and 12 years old. "I donated a grooming to the animal shelter and then just fell in love with her," Parkinson said, who has been grooming professionally for eight years. She colored Diamond purple with a semi-permanent dye. "We named her Diamond, for 'diamond in the rough.' Her personality just warms your heart."
