Congressman's proclamation honors Shiner marching band
U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold will be at Shiner High School on Tuesday sharing a proclamation honoring the marching band for placing first in the state during the UIL competition in November.
Farenthold, a Republican from Corpus Christi in his second term representing the 27th District of Texas, will be in the high school gymnasium at 3 p.m.
Farenthold also plans to read the proclamation on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives when Congress reconvenes in January, according to Meaghan Cronin, the congressman's communications director.
Stephen Krupicka is the Shiner marching band director.
