San Antonio woman hurt in US 59 crash (w/video)

One person was transported following a wreck on U.S. Highway 59 South, about a mile south of State Highway 185 on Wednesday evening. Mary Dorfmeister, 62, of San Antonio, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 59 in a yellow 2007 Nissan Xterra when she struck the back of a trailer being hauled by a John Deere tractor driven by James Noel, 56, of Houston, according to Department of Public Safety Trooper Mario Gonzalez. Dorfmeister was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro.

A 62-year-old San Antonio woman was injured Wednesday evening when she drove into the back of trailer being hauled by a John Deere tractor on U.S. Highway 59 South, said Trooper Mario Gonzales of the Department of Public Safety.

Mary Dorfmeister, 62, was driving a yellow 2007 Nissan Xterra when she hit the tractor, which was driven by James Noel, 56, of Houston. Dorfmeister was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro.

Noel was able to drive his tractor.

Gonzales said no moving violations have yet been issued. Dorfmeister was in the emergency room at DeTar Hospital Navarro late Wednesday. A spokeswoman said she was in stable condition.
