Family is important and many hours are spent together hunting, camping, traveling, and fishing at Port O'Connor. Harry is presently fulfilling a lifetime dream as he is busy restoring a 1957 Chevy.
Brenda Joy retired from the educational field after serving 27 years as a teacher, principal, and educational diagnostician. Besides spending time with her cherished family, including seven over the top grandchildren, she stays very active at Faith Family Church in Victoria where she is involved in ladies ministry as a teacher, encourager, and prayer partner. She teaches "Twogether in Texas", which is a curriculum designed to help couples have a successful marriage and is offered free of charge once a month as an eight hour Saturday workshop to couples who are about to be married. She, also along with her husband, hosts a monthly home group and teaches Bible weekly at the prison. Brenda Joy published her first book, "Coming out of Egypt", a book to help women become all God created them to be, in 2010. She is presently working on her second book which is designed to help men become the warrior, lover, husband, and father God created them to be. Brenda says there is nothing in my life more rewarding than to be able to speak into the lives of those who are beaten up and downtrodden and see them delivered from hopelessness.
