KINGSVILLE - Texas A&M-Kingsville's Dallas Ponder has been named co-Pitcher of the Week in the Lone Star Conference.

Ponder, a junior from Flatonia, was the winning pitcher in the Javelinas' season-opening victory over No. 4 Central Missouri.

He pitched six innings, yielding two hits and one run. He walked two and had seven strikeouts.

Ponder pitched for the Victoria Generals last summer.
