Lady Cougars dominate SA Winston

Faith Academy had 11 players get on the box score, four of which broke double-digit points as the Lady Cougars defeated San Antonio Winston 72-6 Friday night.

Meagan Wilkinson and Sarah Alex each had 11 points for Faith and Courtne Grevey and Krischelle Alex had 10 each.

The Lady Cougars dominated the entire game, holding Winston to just one basket in the first half for a 46-2 lead.

The win improved Faith's overall record to 23-13.



Luck explodes in Faith win

Johnathan Luck scored 20 points, including 3-pointers, and three others broke the 10-point threshold as Faith Academy defeated San Antonio Winston 76-28 Friday night. Geoffrey Graff and Craig Hogan each scored 13 points and Jacob Nunez had 10.

The Cougars jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back, building a 23-point lead at halftime.

Faith improved to 24-11 and 7-2 in district play.



LADY FLYERS FINISH .500 IN DISTRICT PLAY

St. Joseph grabbed the lead early against Austin Regents and never looked back asthey ended district play with a 48-33 victory.

Kensey Marshall led St. Joseph with 13 points, 12 of which came from beyond the three-point arc. Chloe Shoemake finished second with 11, including three 3-pointers.

St. Joseph (20-11, 4-4) had built a 23-14 lead at halftime.



VASQUEZ, JANAK COMBINE FOR 36 POINTS IN WIN

Jerry Vasquez scored 20 points, Cody Janak added 16 and Adam Konarik had 14 as St. Joseph captured its 16th win of the season in a 64-55 victory over Austin Regents.

The Flyers found their groove beyond the three-point line, making eight three-pointers. Vasquez had six by himself. Janak and Barclay Proctor each had one three-pointer.

The Flyers (16-4, 4-4) never built a big lead, but held firm control throughtout most of the night, leading 30-23.
