Gonzales square dancing group meets Monday
Editor, the Advocate:
What a great article "Fair, Square and Loving It" was in the Feb. 7 issue of the Advocate. Thanks for promoting the wonderful social activity of square dancing. It is a wonderful way to meet people, get exercise and have fun for people of all ages, teens to "seniors." And no, you do not have to wear those "funny clothes."
I was disappointed to not see a mention of the Gonzales club, Come and Take It Squares. We meet every Monday night at 7:30 at the Presbyterian Church of Gonzales (just south of the Courthouse). We have a lively club with friendly members and good food and callers.
The Come and Take It Squares are also starting lessons March 4 from 7-8 p.m. at the same location. On Feb. 25, we will have an "open house" from 7:30-9:30 p.m., so people can come, meet the dancers and learn a few basic steps. Everyone is welcome! Call 830-672-9307 for information.
Give square dancing a try! Great activity, great people, great fun!
