St. Joseph raises funds for autism at 'Hoops for Hope'

The St. Joseph boys and girls basketball teams raised $1,323 to fight  autism. Those helping to raise money included: Aaron Kovar, Luke Wenske, Cody Janak, Tyler Engelbart, Jerry Vasquez, Danielle Malik, Hanna Novosad, Adam Konarik, Harrison High, Barclay Proctor, Cameron Zafereo, Tyler Stocker, Doug Wall, Paige Terrell, Iris Young, Liz Garza, Tom Hatley, Erin Hatley, Katie Degand, Kalyn Hempel, Kensey Marshall, Chloe Shoemake, Madison Foeh, Abigail Kovar and Christine Janak.

The St. Joseph High School basketball teams participated in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches "Hoops for Hope" on Jan. 29. The event was an opportunity for teams and communities to get involved and raise money for charities in the Victoria area.

St. Joseph High School chose to raise funds for autism this year. Raffle and T-shirt sales raised $1,323 for The Vine School.
