ROUNDUP: Flyers cruise past Industrial

Jerry Vasquez went 4 for 5 and drove in six runs to lead St. Joseph to a 16-6 baseball win over Industrial in a game stopped in the fifth inning because of the 10-run mercy rule Tuesday at Riverside Stadium.

Vasquez had a triple and scored two runs for the Flyers (6-1), who scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first.

Eric Alvarez added two hits, scored three runs and stole two bases.



Lady Flyers top Karnes City

KARNES CITY - Allyssa Adames and Mariah Clay each had two hits to lead St. Joseph to a 15-7 softball win over Karnes City on Tuesday night.

Clay scored three runs and Paige Terrell had a hit and scored four runs for the Lady Flyers.
