Multiple chambers are unnecessary divisions

Editor, the Advocate:

I read in the paper about the re-establishment of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Victoria. So, we'll have a Chamber of Commerce (for all businesses), an African-American Chamber of Commerce (for black-owned businesses) and a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (for Hispanic-owned businesses). I really don't understand why all three don't combine their resources to help all American business owners in Victoria through one, multicultural Chamber of Commerce. It can be done and would be a positive example for the rest of this divided country.
