An overturned tractor-trailer south of Refugio on U.S. Highway 77 South closed the road early Wednesday morning. The driver, Ruben Cantu, of Edinburg, was uninjured when his trailer tipped over during a traffic stop, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Blake Eubanks, who attempted to make the stop. Traffic was stopped for half an hour until the truck was cleared.
At least one person was injured and transported to an areal hospital after a wreck on Main Street near Zac Lentz Parkway about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. The person's name and extent of injuries were not known as of Wednesday night.
