Mathieu Mirano is a definite designer to know, especially for his work on the forefront this fall, setting the trend with graphic precision and tailored black-on-black looks. The color palette consisted of black, light pink and gold. Two pieces stood out in his fall collection presentation. A metallic blue completely set off the collection with a magnitude of sparkle that added an eye-catching display to the mix of the fall 2013 collection. The F13 collection consisted of clean lines and graphic patterns but added femininity with the color contrast of light pink - almost nude in color - for a natural and subtle look. Shoes paired with the collection were closed-toed and ankle booties that had structure to the cuff to add a slight edge to the apparel. Texture was another key point in Mirano's fashion week presentation. Fur played a key role, studded embellishments to skirts and dresses, and metallic and glitter added movement and dimension to the pieces in the collection. Geometric shapes adorned the surrounding walls in the presentation room with a grey background, and 3D geometric shapes, gold in color, aligned the walls. The room was circular with the models aligning all edges of the room displaying the designer's newest apparel. Mirano's collection was edgy, feminine and chic, and the tailored pieces were suitable for any body type - curvy, no curves or petite. This line had to be one of my favorites. My favorite pieces from the collection were a pink jacket with black paneling, an asymmetrical black-on-black dress and a floor-length graphic pattern dress. All of the pieces of the collection were absolutely lovely, and I could definitely see pairing these with staple pieces already in wardrobe. The collection is a must see and a must do this fall.
