Victoria College is hosting a bacterial meningitis clinic Wednesday and Thursday on campus.
The vaccinations are offered by Vaxanation, a mobile vaccination clinic of Houston, said college registrar Missy Klimitchek.
The cost of the shots is $120, and the mobile clinic accepts insurance from companies including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and CVS/Caremark. But that cost could be waived for those students in financial need, Klimitchek said.
The meningitis vaccinations are also available to college faculty and staff as well as Crossroads residents.
All first-time students, and those who did not attend Victoria College during the fall semester, who are under the age of 30, are required to have the bacterial meningitis vaccination.
Students will not be able to register until proof of vaccination is on file in the Office of Admissions and Records.
Klimitchek said 12 flu shots will also be made available on a first come, first served basis.
