Moulton Junior Livestock Show starts Sunday

The number of entries has remained steady for the annual Moulton Junior Livestock Show on Sunday and Monday in the show barn on the campus of Moulton High School.

Fifty students will take part in the show and sale that will feature seven steers, 34 hogs, 15 lambs and 11 pens of broilers, said Jamina Vasbinder, show secretary.

Events kick off Sunday with the steer weigh-in at 1 p.m., followed by hogs and lambs. Broilers check-in is at 4 p.m. with the broiler show at 6 p.m.

Monday's event begin at 9 a.m. with the market hog show followed by the steer show.

At 6:30 p.m., buyers will gather at the American Legion Hall for a social with the premium sale to follow at 8 p.m.
