Editor, the Advocate:

I read with interest the letter on Jan. 15 written by Donald Breech on the closing of De Leon Street with regard to St. Joseph High School.

One solution might be having a traffic officer there at the opening and closing of school each day to control the crossing by the students and the automobiles driving on the street. Another solution might be letting qualified students be in charge during the critical hours of school traffic. They might be honored to have the responsibility!

People living in the area should also be asked their opinion. They are involved! And how about the opinion of the students?
