St. Joseph boys hoops capture first district win

AUSTIN - The St. Joseph Flyers picked up their first TAPPS District 3-4A win with a 45-37 decision over Austin St. Dominic Savio on Saturday.
Jerry Vasquez and Cody Janak each scored 13 points as the Flyers overcome a 22-21 halftime deficit.
St. Joseph improved to 13-13 overall and 1-3 in district. Savio dropped to 1-4 in district.
Lady Flyers fall to Savio
AUSTIN - Chloe Shoemake scored 13 points, but the St. Joseph Lady Flyers dropped a 57-47 decision to Austin St. Dominic Savio on Saturday.
The Lady Flyers fell to 17-10 on the season and 1-3 in TAPPS District 3-4A play.
East girls soccer splits two at Red Cup
LEANDER - Victoria East played a pair of games in the Red Cup on Saturday, splitting the contests with Waco Robinson and Pflugerville Connally.
East beat Robinson 3-0 off goals from junior Rachel Mansker and sophomores Morgan Wyatt and Madison Hawkins.
In the afternoon, Connally beat East 4-0 to leave the Titans with a 7-3-1 record.
